Genealogy and Family History Class

Tuesday, February 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd     6:30 to 8:00 pm

 

Would you like to know more about your family roots, how to chart a family tree, or how to obtain family information?  Then this class is for you.   Jim Edgar will be teaching this four week genealogy and family history class.  A class trip to the Family History Library in Otter Creek will also be scheduled during February.  The class will be limited to 10 members and will be held in the Computer Lab.

Cost: $20 (Four classes)

Materials: Bring a  Flash Drive, minimum 2Gig memory

 

Facebook I

Thursday, February 18th & February 25th  6:30-7:30 pm

 

Facebook helps you share and connect with the people in your life.  You can add family and friends to your Facebook and share news, photos and send them messages.  Learn how to set up a Facebook page, add information, send messages and add photos.  The fastest growing Facebook user group is women over 55 with men over 55 following right behind them.  The class will be limited to 10 and will be held in the Computer Lab.

Cost: $10   (Two classes)

 

Watercolor I

Tuesday, February 2nd and February 9th      6:30-8:00 pm

Thursday, February 18th and February 25th

 

Georgia Aeverman is an experienced watercolorist and has taught classes at the MSWC for the past five years.  Her classes are very popular with a relaxed atmosphere and individual attention.  This is an opportunity to try watercolor without a big investment in supplies.  Students will learn basic brush techniques, paper choices and how to mix color.  You will complete at least two painting in this four class session.

Cost:  $30.00  (Four classes)  

Material Fee:  $10.00

 

Bunko

Thursday, February 4th   6:20 to 8:00 pm

 

In some form or another Bunko, a dice game, has been around since the late 19th Century and is enjoying a big surge in popularity.  Just about every night of the week someone is enjoying Bunko with their friends and neighbors.  Anyone can learn to play this easy, fun game.  Snacks will be provided.

Cost: $5.00 per month

 

Boomer BootCamp

Tuesday, February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd         6:30-7:30 pm

Boomer Boot Camp is a total body workout for the active individual.  The class combines aerobic with strength training, balance and flexibility in a positive energizing environment.  Join Kathy Wheeler, ACE-certified Person Trainer, for a fun filled workout.

Cost:  $20.00 (Four classes)                                     Materials:  Bring a mat, water and a towel
